Program

After nearly a hundred concerts across Europe and the release of three albums, KNOBIL is coming to Nodathèque for just one night. Centred around the Lausanne-based double bassist and singer Louise Knobil, the trio champions a vision of free and authentic jazz. On stage, the three musicians share a raw energy and a resolutely punk spirit, located somewhere between post-bop, glitter jazz and French chanson. Influenced by Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus and Boris Vian, Louise Knobil uses her double bass and her voice to showcase her musical diary, covering topics ranging from polyamory and sleep deprivation to a pesto recipe.

About

In 2026–27, Noda BCVS opens its doors to jazz, revealing its many facets! Seven opportunities to explore the vitality of French-speaking Switzerland’s music scene, from jazz to improvised music, spanning Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop and Baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque becomes a new meeting place where different aesthetics converge and boundaries fade away.
