Program

Espuma Antigua offers a gentle fusion of baroque and contemporary music, melding modern jazz and improvisation. Formed in 2018 around the singer and multi-instrumentalist Flora Ageron, the quartet breaks down the boundaries of the classical repertoire to breathe new life into pieces that have sometimes fallen into oblivion. Through a deliberately eclectic repertoire, the musicians collaborate with sometimes surprising figures, from Isabella Leonarda to Ariel Ramírez, and allow a style of music that is both free-spirited and melancholic to emerge. In taking the audience on a journey through the centuries, Espuma Antigua invites listeners to (re)discover the full poetry of early music.

About

In 2026–27, Noda BCVS opens its doors to jazz, revealing its many facets! Seven opportunities to explore the vitality of French-speaking Switzerland’s music scene, from jazz to improvised music, spanning Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop and Baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque becomes a new meeting place where different aesthetics converge and boundaries fade away.
