Seven opportunities to explore the vitality of French-speaking Switzerland’s music scene, from jazz to improvised music, spanning Afro-Brazilian rhythms, hip-hop and Baroque influences, and contemporary sounds. The Nodathèque becomes a new meeting place where different aesthetics converge and boundaries fade away.

It was during a late-night jam session in Salvador de Bahia that Edwin Correia, a Franco-Brazilian guitarist, met the Brazilian singer Dandara Modesto. Back in Switzerland, the two musicians embarked on a collaboration that has proved as instinctive as it is profound. On their debut album, Chama (‘flame’ in Portuguese), released in 2026, they crafted a world where the richness of their Afro-Brazilian heritage dialogues with the freedom of contemporary jazz. Traditional rhythms, delicate melodies and modern harmonies intertwine to paint a soundscape of great sensitivity. Infused with themes of resistance, memory and spirituality, their music invites listeners on an introspective journey beyond borders.
