Program

Appassionata: the title of Noda BCVS’s 2026–27 season instantly brings to mind Beethoven’s famous sonata and the embryonic Romantic spirit it embodies. And yet, the passions of the soul have been at the heart of musical, aesthetic and artistic theories in general since the Baroque era and its unique rhetoric. From the early Florentine operas around 1600 to the German ‘Sturm und Drang’ (Storm and Stress) of the late 18th century, the ‘Chronicles’ presented by musicologist Grégory Rauber invite you on a passionate journey into the Baroque era – that great laboratory – with all its emotions and fascinating repertoires.

About

At Noda BCVS, one concert follows another. But each is different, unique. Over the course of the season, five centuries of music will feature, with the keenest spotlight shone on Beethoven, whose immortality has been cause for celebration for 200 years! Created for the curious: The Chronicles give a deeper understanding of the main issues in our musical history and its masterpieces.
