Program
After six years spent immersing himself in the New York jazz scene, the Chalais-born saxophonist Alain Métrailler is now back in Switzerland. Renowned for the expressive richness of his playing and his profound rhythmic sensitivity, he has teamed up with Valais-born double bassist Fabien Iannone and Geneva-based drummer Noé Tavelli – two musicians who have also been shaped by their experiences in New York. Together, they propose a repertoire rooted in the East Coast jazz tradition, open to exploration and improvisation. In developing their unique, collective sound, their individual voices respond to one another throughout their musical exchanges.
