An exceptional evening that gives us living proof of the region’s cultural synergies! The Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (OCL) joins forces with the Haute École de Musique Vaud-Valais-Fribourg (HEMU) to give full rein to a programme dedicated entirely to Wagner. What could be more spectacular than instrumental excerpts from his greatest works to explore the captivating world of the Master of Bayreuth? Under the baton of Bertrand de Billy, experienced musicians and budding new talents come together to give us a masterful interpretation. On the programme, the raw emotion of The Twilight of the Gods with “Siegfrieds Tod” and the “Trauermarsch”, the burning passion of Tristan und Isolde in its Prelude and its intoxicating “Liebestod”. The Wagnerian saga will also shine with the Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and the Overture to Tannhäuser, revealing the depth of the richness and the dramatic power of a timeless genius. A magnificent orchestral odyssey not to be missed!
