The Laboratories
Scientific and musical interactions
Music is a real hybrid. Is it an art, is it a science? Does it speak to what we feel or what we think? The laboratories provide an open space in which music and science meet to find out more about how our emotions are made. On the stage, musicians and scientists talk, converse, discuss, to better discern those feelings that all of us have felt and which make each and every one of us unquestionably human. Just one hour together when what you have to say is also heard!

The Chronicles
In the course of the season: the history behind the music
Concerts follow one after the other. But each one is different, unique. In the course of the season at Noda bcvs, you will be able to discover works covering five centuries of music. Which instruments were given top billing in 1615? Which musical forms were the best liked in 1850? Which important composers were at work in the 18th century? What was the vision of music put forward by the innovators of 1910? Four periods of musical history will be explored: Baroque, Classical, Romantic and the 20th century. Two one-and-half-hour sessions will be devoted to each of them, allowing you explore each musical phenomenon as thoroughly as possible. The first one, in the form of a formal lecture, will introduce the key concepts. The second, more interactive, will provide a full selection of musical examples with comments, in the presence of live musicians. A living, sensitive approach to the history of music.
