Loud and off-key!

What if you were to cross over to the other side? On the Noda bcvs stage, become the voice that you have always dreamed of being and take part in a fun collective experience of choral singing. During your lunch break, come and spend 45 minutes in the main hall with some cheerful, committed choirmasters: learn to breathe deeply, feel your body and… give voice without worrying about what those around your might think. “Loud and off-key!”: Noda, much more fun than singing in the shower! With choirmasters working in the region, well-known and recognized.

The Laboratories

Scientific and musical interactions
Music is a real hybrid. Is it an art, is it a science? Does it speak to what we feel or what we think? The laboratories provide an open space in which music and science meet to find out more about how our emotions are made. On the stage, musicians and scientists talk, converse, discuss, to better discern those feelings that all of us have felt and which make each and every one of us unquestionably human. Just one hour together when what you have to say is also heard!

The Good Life
Led by Eric Bonvin, psychiatrist and anthropologist, together with Valentine Coluccia, musician and sound therapist, this workshop invites participants to an experiential moment that brings different sounds into resonance with the context of the art of caring and self-care. Various moments of perceptual immersion and exchanges between speakers and participants will punctuate this encounter in the tone of a good life.

The Chronicles

In the course of the season: the history behind the music
Concerts follow one after the other. But each one is different, unique. In the course of the season at Noda bcvs, you will be able to discover works covering five centuries of music. A note to the curious minded, eager for knowledge: the Chronicles offer a chance to build on what you already know, the better to understand the issues behind the great ages of our musical history.
Which instruments were given top billing in 1615? Which musical forms were the best liked in 1850? Which important composers were at work in the 18th century? What was the vision of music put forward by the innovators of 1910? Four periods of musical history will be explored: Baroque, Classical, Romantic and the 20th century. Two one-and-half-hour sessions will be devoted to each of them, allowing you explore each musical phenomenon as thoroughly as possible. The first one, in the form of a formal lecture, will introduce the key concepts. The second, more interactive, will provide a full selection of musical examples with comments, in the presence of live musicians. A living, sensitive approach to the history of music.
